Over 30 years ago, Ratanjit S. Sondhe founded the global multi-million dollar construction and road-building materials corporation POLY-CARB, a pioneer in the industry. Today, POLY-CARB is one of the most highly-respected material science companies in the world, manufacturing systems utilized by the United States Department of Defense, Interstate Highways, and in industrial and commercial applications throughout the United States and internationally. 

After emigrating from India to the United States in 1968 with no more than a few dollars in his pocket to complete his Ph.D. studies in Polymer Chemistry, Ratanjit quickly found himself at home in America, where he saw opportunities plentiful for anyone willing to work hard, take risks, and operate on solid principles.
